Gold Token - $GOLD

In Gyre, you can use a token called GOLD to purchase cosmetics, items, and various in-game services. GOLD is earned from playing the game, as well as speculating on matches in the competitive PvP modes. GOLD has no max supply, and is distributed once every two weeks after users earn XP while playing the game. The XP they earn contributes to their total XP earned (and their "account level"), but the XP they earn in a GOLD epoch only contributes to that epoch.

To balance the inflationary nature of GOLD, there will be a number of burning mechanisms. We take a lot of inspiration from Runescape and EVE online in managing a strong game economy, ensuring that markets play out in a way that's continually fun and accessible to players everywhere, especially as the player base grows.
